FAQ
- Does compression make images blurry?
- Yes. Image compression trades encoding quality for a smaller file — it never improves sharpness, and it will not make a blurry image clear. If quality matters, set the quality above 90.
- Why did some images not get smaller?
- Images that are already compressed, or that use simple flat colours, have very little left to squeeze. In that case we keep the original file and note it in the results — you will never get a file larger than the one you uploaded.
- How is the merge order for PDFs decided?
- Files are joined in the order shown in the list, top to bottom. If the order is wrong, remove the files and add them again — nothing is modified before you start.
- What resolution should I choose for PDF to image?
- Around 120 suits screen reading and screenshot sharing; 150 suits cases where fine detail matters, at a noticeably larger size. Due to server capacity the maximum is 150, and up to 50 pages per run.
- How long are files kept on the server?
- Uploaded files and generated results are kept for 2 hours, after which the records and the files on disk are deleted automatically. Please download in time — they cannot be recovered afterwards.
- If one file fails, does it affect the others?
- No. In a batch every file is processed independently: a failure affects only that file, successful results stay downloadable, and each reason is listed in the results.
- Can I use it on my phone?
- Yes — the layout switches to a single column on phones. For large files or large batches, a desktop is the safer bet.
